Abstract
A statistical model for deriving the stress-life from the strain-life curves is presented. In this way, the fatigue characteristics are obtained not only for the high- but also for the low-cycle fatigue domains. The model reproduces the experimentally observed incurvation in the low-cycle fatigue region. The proposed method is finally illustrated by its application to a real data case.
