abstract = "We study a class of holographic superconductors dual to Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet AdS gravity coupled to nonlinear matter fields. We find an exact formula for the free energy of this system in any dimension and an approximate formula in terms of the thermodynamic quantities. We provide a simple method to select the couplings that admit charged black hole solutions in the bulk and have phase transitions on the boundary.",
