Abstract

This work presents the methodology used to leverage ontologies for the vocational education & training (VET) domain under an European context. The ontology use provides a means to tackle the problem of information integration of the qualification systems on each country, allowing a common data access. The project involved qualification systems at post-secondary nonacademic level of diverse EU countries, formalizing their profiles, activities, competences, learning outcomes, etc. In particular, the Dutch system is used as study case.
