In this paper, the annual quota for a fisheries resource is calculated, formulating and solving a Non-Linear Stochastic Program with Recourse. The proposed model includes two uncertain parameters related to the intrinsic growth rate and the carrying capacity, using a discrete random variable (scenarios), whose values and probabilities are obtained using a specific sampling technique. The algebraic modeling language AMPL was used, with MINOS as a nonlinear optimization solver. The methodology used was useful for modeling the stochastic nature of the system and provided a good quantitative approach for computing an annual quota of the renewable resource studied.
