Abstract
This article reviews the studies on the teacher's relationship with reading and analyses the place of reading in the training of teachers as mediators of culture. The analysis shows the importance of studying the relationship between the future teacher and reading through their reading habits, their motivation to read and their beliefs about reading as critical factors for those who will be educators of new readers.
