abstract = "In this paper, we propose a forecasting model suitably developed to forecast monthly anchovy catches in the north area of Chile. This forecaster is developed in order to combine in the most effective way the capability of the quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm and a reduced multivariate polynomial. The performance evaluation of this model achieves an approximately determination coefficient equal to 93%. Beside, the advantages of the proposed model are reduced parsimony and increasing accuracy precision.",
