Abstract
The present paper studies the Starobinsky inflationary universe model in a Jordan-Brans-Dicke-type theory. At different stages in the evolution of the universe, analytical and numerical solutions of the field equations are obtained and discussed. Also, in an R2-theory a conformal transformation is used to describe possible inflationary transient attractors.
